New Teams now in operation

We are proud to announce the fantastic news that The Dog Walker has expanded into two new areas of North and West Yorkshire. We would like to welcome to our expanding team Duncan Pidsley of Sherburn in Elmet who has opened our Selby District branch which covers Tadcaster, Garforth, Selby including all surrounding villages and Jan Belton of Ilkley who has opened our Ilkley District branch with areas covered including Addingham, Otley and Ilkley including all surrounding villages.

As we are coming up to our sixth birthday, it's great news "as a local Yorkshire home grown business" that we are expanding and placing local people back into full-time work (sadly when faced with redundancy) and even considering the current economic climate, we are now able to expand into new territories. This is largely down to the solid reputation of good quality customer service and strict animal welfare care with prompt reliability throughout the company and as an established company we have earned our reputation over many years. Since January 2006 this business started from just one customer and with being the first of its kind for the wider area, it has grown quite quickly with teams in Harrogate, York, Wetherby and now Ilkley and Selby. The Dog Walker now holds the title of Yorkshires largest fully committed pet care service provider and we are extremely excited with the prospects for our ever expanding team. Both Duncan and Jan have been faced with the dreaded redundancy from their previous employers as were others in our team but both now have the best opportunity to make good a career in a venture that they have a large amount of experience with and better yet they will have all the support they need.

As a well-established business we understand the great importance of our customers and their pets as they are our top two priority's but we also know the importance of not spreading ourselves too thinly. We are competent dog walkers, licensed home boarders and care for cats. First and foremost, we care for small animals when needed but we firmly believe in working with established vets,  groomers and trainers who are fully qualified to carry out such services that require professionals in those areas of expertise hence boosting other local businesses, we also work closely with local councils to ensure the competence and professionalism of our teams and the industry as a whole,  as the industry is growing quite quickly with now over 29 other dog walking companies operating in the Wetherby area alone it's always best to ensure customers choose a reputable service provider with knowledge, understanding and experience. Our teams are dedicated to the areas they serve to ensure those customers who use them receive the best service possible.
