So what do I receive if I want to invest?

You will be part of a trademarked brand with successful franchises already in operation, You will have continuing support from ourselves whenever you require, an accountant is also provided, but if you need to use your own this is acceptable, help is available over your first twelve months of trading with any further training or advice you require, full support is provided however throughout your franchise term, you will also receive relevant licensing and registration documents for your local area which will cover you over your first 12 months of trading.

Because of our passion to make The Dog Walker work, your franchise package comes with a vast amount of knowledge and experience, so we have done all the hard work for you!, due to our success, we have protected what we disclose, full details on what you receive will be divulged once an interested party has signed a none disclosure agreement, this is only a formality and has no cost to yourself.

What extras do I need?

The only few things you need to provide when you first start are as follows, own van insurance (must be fully comprehensive as we provide a vehicle), breakdown cover, suitable clothing and footwear, experience (but not necessary as full training will be provided), most importantly enthusiasm.

So the possibilities are greatly improved, our franchise package is in no way limited, they have been designed to help you grow, be successful and develop your own team, we DONT take a percentage from your earnings! Or ask for a further £5000 for a van like most franchise companies would do, you work hard for your cash so why can't you keep it?

Yes there are other franchises out there with investments ranging from £12,000 to £15,000 and some are also asking from 10% to 20% of your earnings, but not one of them will include the most important tool, transport! We can say for sure that they cannot give you everything you need to start up a new career for the initial investment; we DO give you everything you need to start your new career.

What are the Costs?

Initial investment is £14,000 (excluding VAT) and you will receive all you will need to begin your new venture with nothing else to pay for your first 12 months of trading, (please note this includes a vehicle), from your second year of trading there will be a £250 intellectual property protection fee charge totaling to £1000 over the rest of the four year period until your renewal.

Renewal of the franchise for a further five years will be £3500 with no extra charges or costs involved for those five years as the intellectual property protection fee is included.

Extra postcodes can be purchased at £600 per full postal code, and will increase renewal cost each five years by £50 per additional postcode.

The-Dogwalker franchise scheme is the leading cost effective scheme in the United Kingdom, our scheme is designed not to be breaking your bank account or penalising you "the franchisee" for running your own business and we are proud not to have any extra hidden costs that other companys would have, The-Dogwalker is a trusted trademarked brand with many years of success, If you need advice or help in raising the capital needed please contact Natwest Bank PLC, Natwest offer two years free banking for new business users.

If you decide our franchise package is for you and would like to go ahead then please contact our Head Office, you will be required to sign a confidentiality agreement, once the initial interview is completed (please provide at the interview full CV with proof of residency together with proof of eligibility to work in the UK) a £500 deposit will be required if you are successful, your deposit is required to secure your new vehicle, full amount will be due once contracts are signed.

** For the moment all franchise costs are VAT FREE! saving £2800 on your initial investment (VAT based on 20%) ** Receipt of the deposit is also conformation that you intend to purchase a franchise, if cancelled your deposit is refundable at our discretion.

Q. Can anyone have a franchise?

We need to make sure that the franchisee is suitable for the position and is subject to our interview procedure, we do however run a discrimination free company with equal opportunities for all, if you have a love for animals and the drive and passion for business with a suitable enviorment then your on your way to taking the lead in your new career.

Q. How old do your franchisee's need to be?

We recommend that you're over 21yrs and hold a full clean drivers licence.

Q. Should I have some working capital?

Yes, you should leave yourself enough working capital to support yourself in your first six to twelve months of trading, as soon as your presence is known in your area you will begin to see your earnings increase.

Q. Do we need to wear a uniform?

You will be provided with five The-Dogwalker t-shirts for the summer months with our logo's and website address on them, we recommend that you dress for the weather at the time as only you can decide how warm or cool you need to be and what type of clothing suits you.

Q. Is this a seasonal business?

Not at all, our customers use our services all year round whatever the weather, even if your clients go away for their holidays you could also be boarding the hounds for them, so yes it’s seasonal but it’s all four of them, so we hope you enjoy the great outdoors!

Q. Can I resell my franchise?

Yes, you will need to inform head office and discuss what needs to be done by both the franchisee and franchisor.

Q. Can I work outside my contracted area?

No, you will be contracted to a specific area and need to keep within this area as there might be another The-Dogwalker franchise close by, you can purchase extra postcodes whenever you need to but do check with head office first.
