Inca loves her walks with him and is always very excited and happy when he arrives to walk her. I would recommend Richie or John to anyone and feel over the past three years Richie has become part of the family and we trust him totally.
Richie has never forgotten to walk the dogs or left my house unlocked, he has even brought parcels left by couriers into the garage for me!, he is obviously an enthusiastic dog lover and my dogs are very fond of him, they also look forward to their walks with him.

"the kinder alternative to kennels"
The-Dogwalker was the imagination of founder Richie Womersley who has had the privilege of looking after the family friend all his life, back in 2002 to 2003 Richie had been working for various kennels in the Yorkshire area dealing with both cats and dogs, on some occasions he had to deal with up to eighty cats and fifty five dogs in one place! after this experience he thought to himself there must be a better cleaner and calmer way for pets to enjoy their day without the stress that does come with being in a kennel or cattery adjoining, so in 2005 he decided to start investigating the possibilities and came to the conclusion that pets do feel safer and more relaxed in their own home in familiar surroundings without the constant howling barking and other problems associated with being in a stressful environment.
In January 2006 The-Dogwalker was born!, It started off small just like any new business, and it did take some time to get going but after a while the word began to spread and people started to find out how good the service was, his first client was a Springer Spaniel called Sapphire and is still walking her to this day, since that time Richie has grown the company to an incredible level with a vast amount of clientele from all across the public scale from the working class to families and even the rich and famous!, but all are treated with the same care and attention.
In May 2009 The-Dogwalker needed to expand due to the level of demand and was then joined by its very first colleague John who now works alongside Richie in the Wetherby district, John has brought some knowledge of his own with also having cats and dogs throughout his family life and most importantly had an extra pair of hands! John is building a good client base himself and with excellent customer service skills he has become a valuable member of the team. Early October 2009 saw The-Dogwalker applying for their logos to be Trademarked and three months after received all certificates from the IPO, Later in October 2009 The-Dogwalker was joined by its second colleague Lorraine and opened its first franchise branch in the York District, Lorraine has also brought some experience to the company with being a dog owner herself, in December 2009 was then joined by another colleague Ian who is now opening the second franchise in the Harrogate District.
The-Dogwalker is proud to have all of its walkers fully insured and registered with all certificates and paperwork available to view by proposed clients, current and new, furthermore The-Dogwalker would suggest that members of the public do check that your dog walker has the necessary insurances before you complete any paperwork or hand over payment as if anything was to happen both parties would be covered as most insurance brokers might not cover anyone who maybe walking your pet other than yourself on your policy.
